A committee reviews the projects supported in the current year, decides on whether to renew the commitment and sets the annual allocation line for the next cycle.
Collaborators from Viva Rio help in structuring the projects and submitting them to the Director, who is tasked with presenting a proposal shortlist for the Consultive Committee’s review.
The Consultive Committee decides on the approval of projects based on objective criteria: (i) adequacy with the annual allocation line parameters; (ii) relevance; (iii) impact; (iv) impact evaluation methodology; and (v) associated risk.
(i)The Viva Rio team handles project execution; (ii) activities are monitored with process & outcome indexes; and (iii) a monthly activity report is drafted.
(i) Presentation of the impact analysis studies (a technical partnership with education and research organizations); and (ii) final project review based on the expected and actual outcomes.

Collaborators from Viva Rio involved in the selected projects or with VRB will be compensated according to their performance.
