Artificial Intelligence Medical
Epidemiology (AIME, Inc)

The program is the result of a partnership between Viva Rio and the AIME Inc corporation, led by Malayan scientists with support from the Singularity University, an innovation center located at Nasa Research Park in Silicon Valley, California. The AIME corporation has developed an algorithm capable of predicting the prevalence of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito in urban environments, with a 400-meter range and 3 months’ worth of foresight. Testing runs in Malaysia have yielded results with an accuracy rate of over 80%.

Black Pearls
Academy

Located North of Port-au-Prince’s metropolitan area, the Black Pearls Academy is destined for youths between ages 11-17 living in extreme poverty, focusing on turning them into high-performance athletes. The best Haitian athletes are taken in by Brazil as humanitarian refugees. The youngsters are then hosted at the Black Pearls Academy in Paty do Alferes, upstate Rio de Janeiro, and introduced to the professional soccer market.
